Policy

Weather, Scheduling & Cancellation

Cancellation & Rescheduling Terms

Weather is inherently unpredictable. This policy keeps expectations clear and fair for both sides while protecting the standard of the work.

Client-Initiated Cancellations

  • Within 24 hours of booking: No charge.
  • More than 48 hours before the shoot: A 25% cancellation fee, plus any expenses incurred (rented or specially arranged equipment). This reflects the limited shoot dates reserved and held for your Property.
  • Within 48 hours of the shoot: A 50% cancellation fee, plus any expenses.

Rescheduling

  • 72+ hours before the shoot: One reschedule at no charge.
  • Within 72 hours, or a second reschedule: A 10% rescheduling fee (of the package), plus any expenses.

Weather-Related Scheduling

Weather within 24 hours of the shoot

If conditions deteriorate within 24 hours of the scheduled shoot and require cancellation or postponement, a rescheduling fee applies. This reflects the time and preparation already committed to your shoot, along with any equipment arranged for the session.

Wildfire smoke, air quality & acts of God

Wildfire smoke and poor air quality affect a shoot the same way adverse weather does — they can make outdoor work unsafe and degrade the light and image (haze, red/orange color cast). If, within 24 hours of the shoot, conditions become unsafe or unusable due to circumstances beyond either party's control — wildfire or wildfire smoke, hazardous air quality, or other acts of God — the same terms as deteriorating weather apply: the shoot is rescheduled and a rescheduling fee applies, reflecting the time and equipment already committed.

Wind conditions for drone work

If day-of wind is too strong for safe drone operation, you have two options:

  1. Ground coverage: Proceed with exterior ground-based photography only, at no additional fee.
  2. Reschedule: A rescheduling fee applies, reflecting the time and equipment already committed.

Sunrise / sunset conditions

Light can vary even on beautiful days, and golden-hour conditions can't be known until they occur. Our standard approach:

  • We proceed with the shoot and enhance the footage in post as needed.
  • If you request a re-shoot for optimal sunrise/sunset conditions, a re-shoot fee applies.

Fee Structure

  • Rescheduling / re-shoot fee: from $330 for photography, higher for video. The final fee also includes any costs for rented or specially arranged equipment.
