Weather, Scheduling & Cancellation Policy

Cancellation and Rescheduling Terms

Weather conditions are inherently unpredictable, and this policy ensures fair compensation for all parties while maintaining professional service standards.

Client-Initiated Cancellations

  • 48+ Hours Notice: No charge for cancellations made 48 hours or more before the scheduled shoot

  • Within 48 Hours: Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the shoot will incur either a rescheduling fee or a cancellation fee of 50% of the quoted package. Rescheduling must occur within 30 days of the original shoot date.

Weather-Related Scheduling Issues

Weather Changes (Previous 24 Hours)

If weather conditions deteriorate within 24 hours of the scheduled shoot requiring cancellation or postponement, the client will be charged a rescheduling fee. This fee covers our obligation to compensate the photographer/videographer who prepared for and committed to the shoot, as well as any costs incurred for rented or specially arranged equipment for the session.

Day-of-Shoot Wind Conditions for Drones

When wind conditions on the day of the shoot are too strong for safe drone operation, the client has two options:

  1. Ground Photography Alternative: Proceed with exterior ground-based photography only (no additional fees)

  2. Reschedule: Pay rescheduling fee due to our commitment to the photographer/videographer

Sunrise/Sunset Conditions

Weather conditions can vary significantly even on beautiful days, affecting the quality of sunrise/sunset lighting. These conditions are unpredictable until they occur. Our policy is:

  • Standard Procedure: We will proceed with the shoot and enhance footage in post-production as needed

  • Client Re-shoot Request: If the client requests a re-shoot for optimal sunrise/sunset conditions, a re-shoot fee will apply

Fee Structure

  • Rescheduling/Re-shoot Fee: Starts at $330 (may be higher depending on costs for rented or specially arranged equipment)
